Editorial team and method

Tom Peeters has worked the Belgian gambling beat since 2019 and works through every operator himself with an emphasis on dice games. Lives and works in Antwerpen.

How we test. we create a player account ourselves, deposit via Bancontact, request payout and record the turnaround. The licence check happens at the source, not at the operator and go over the small print word by word. What we have not seen ourselves, we do not write.

This site earns from affiliate links; the verdict stays the same, commission or not. Whoever is not on the white list reads it here.

Player protection in numbers

The Belgian framework around player protection is considerably more strictly than a few years ago and you feel it on the first deposit. By default €200 per week per site may go in. A lower limit takes effect directly, raising runs through a verification and then a waiting window.

Through EPIS the Gaming Commission runs centralised exclusion: the exclusion applies instantly across the whole licensed landscape. The entry point is the Gaming Commission. The age bar moved on 1 September 2024 from 18 to 21 for casino, hall and betting; the National Lottery is the exception at 18. A trial account falls under it too.
